6. Randy Savage Forces WCW To Sign His Brother

Vince McMahon was wrong about Randy Savage when he stuffed the legend behind his announce desk in 1993 and declared he'd rather move on with a "New Generation". Savage's stint in WCW, primarily between 1994-98, proved that he still had a lot left to give.

Though he desperately wanted to get back in the ring, Randy wasn't only interested in lining his pockets or gratifying his own need to wrestle again when he made the jump. No, he wanted to look out for his younger brother Lanny Poffo, and that meant demanding that WCW hire Lanny at the same time as him.

They did, albeit in early-1995, a few months after Randy came in.

Infamously, WCW never once used Lanny for anything. In shoot interviews since, he's claimed that Savage wanted him to play the "Gorgeous George" gimmick, and he even dyed his hair blonde for the role. WCW didn't contact him after that, and he spent five years on the pay roll without lifting a finger.

Dig that.
