10 Most Insane Demands Wrestlers Ever Made

4. The Famous 'Favoured Nations' Clause

Hulk wasn't the only one dipping a finger into the giving soul that was WCW's bank balance. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were also able to negotiate themselves quite the deal when they moved over from the WWF in the summer of 1996.

Most famously, they inserted a "favoured nations" clause in their contracts. This guaranteed that nobody could earn a higher base salary than them throughout their respective runs with the promotion. Note the wording there ("base salary"); top stars like Hogan were able to earn more overall from bonuses and other contractual clauses.

The hidden beauty to this idea was that Hall and Nash would have their pay bumped if somebody signed up for a larger fee. At the time, the WWF weren't offering guaranteed money to anyone, so the notion that two of their biggest names could jump over to Ted Turner's operation and earn themselves a golden ticket like this was preposterous.

One might say it was "Too Sweet".
