10 Most Insane Vince McMahon Lies WWE Fans Fell For
6. "Vince McMahon Loved Me, But..."
This is more an Insane Lie That The Workers Fell For, but the fans get worked by this bizarre notion, too.
Many wrestlers - Malakai Black perhaps being the most prominent recent example - have claimed that they weren't fired because Vince McMahon didn't rate them. It was that damn John Laurinaitis!
Black didn't blame Laurinaitis by name, but others have. How was this conclusion drawn? Did these people honestly think that, because Laurinaitis actively dialled the phone and said "Hey, uh, we gotta let you go. We'll send you a big trash bag of your belongings and, uh, good luck!"
Surely they're not that thick. Then again, have you trawled through the average wrestler's Twitter likes lately?
No, they think that Laurinaitis, as developmental liaison, buried them to Vince, whose mind was subsequently clouded by Big Johnny's opinion.
Too many wrestlers are under the actual idea that Vince, despite firing them, rated their work and was always supportive of their efforts when they had a bit of a chat. If only Vince, the most powerful man in the entire f*cking wrestling world, had a bit more say in matters!
The rise of Nick Khan has sparked a similar narrative in online wrestling circles. Apparently, that Nasty Nick Khan and his penchant for cutting the budget was to blame for the mass cuts across 2020 and 2021.
Vince wanted to make Tucker Universal champion, but that disgusting cheapo capitalist Nick Khan put paid to that.
