10 Most Insane WWE Royal Rumble Spots Ever

10. Big Show's Table-Breaking Chokeslam (2001)

Big Show The Rock
WWE Network

We're sure The Rock didn't.

At the 2001 Royal Rumble, Big Show marched out as the 23rd entrant, hit a bevy of Chokeslams on all and sundry then got clotheslined over the top rope by Rocky. Less than a minute later, Show pulled his mortal enemy out of the ring and hit his finisher through the announce desk as JR and King roared on commentary.

In a match that also included a bowling ball to the nuts, some other hardcore elements, Steve Austin performing a gusher of a blade job and Haku's wild hair (honestly, go and check that barnet out), it's amazing that Show's spot stood out. It did so because it looked amazing, reintroduced the giant's wrecking ball tendencies brilliantly and sneakily covered up the fact he lasted just over one minute in the Rumble.

Keep in mind this was Show's comeback moment. He'd been shipped off to shed weight the previous summer, and he looked a touch leaner and meaner by January. We'd also like to give Rock a nod for pulling that chair onto his battered body to sell the chaos a little bit more.
