10 Most Insane WWE Royal Rumble Spots Ever

9. Taka Michinoku's Big Bump (2000)

This one earns the distinction of being the only unplanned 'spot' on the list, but it deserves to be here because it looked so damn painful. Poor Taka Michinoku must have had Taka Michi-no-clue (thanks, Jerry Lawler) when he was thrown over the top rope, spun in mid-air and subsequently smashed his face off the ringside mats.

Speaking of King, he had a riotous time laughing at Taka's misfortune afterwards.

Lawler even asked for a few replays of the accident, and continued giggling his ass off despite it being clear Michinoku had bust either his nose, lip or both open during the fall. Said bump took place during the 2000 Rumble, and it's made more depressing for Taka by way of the fact he wasn't an actual entrant in the match.

No, he and Kaientai tag partner Funaki just kept running in to add some comedy relief. Taka won't have seen the funny side when his face left an imprint in the covered ice at Madison Square Garden though. Ouch.
