James Storm has already appeared in NXT in the past year, making a cameo during October's television tapings and working a couple of matches before eventually deciding to reject a development deal for a greatly boosted top-level contract in TNA - said to be twice what WWE were prepared to offer.

You can't blame the 38-year old veteran for following the money at this stage of his career, though it should have been clear to him that the chances of TNA being capable of honouring such a deal were slim. Storm returned to reunite with Bobby Roode as part of Beer Money, but now Roode is out the picture, 'the Bearded Outlaw' is left hanging.

Like all guys who have made their name elsewhere, Storm gained a big reaction from NXT's smart crowd, and WWE would do well to pair him back up with Roode. NXT could benefit from an experienced team to bolster what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting tag divisions in decades.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
