Date: August 1st It isn't exactly a surprise for newer wrestling fans to hear that the WWF's use of women's wrestling in the mid-1990's wasn't great. You usually weren't going to get anything worthwhile. However, when Bull Nakano showed up, things changed, albeit for a brief period of time. This was their first match, but it didn't take long for everyone to take notice. Bull, coming from Japan, brought a different in-ring style than just about any woman in North America. Alundra Blayze was so much better in the ring than she was usually given the opportunity to be in short matches against people that nobody had ever heard of. In this seemingly random match on an August night in 1994, Blayze and Nakano delivered a full-blown Japanese Puroresu-style match, taking everyone off-guard. They beat the hell out of each other for the entire match. It only lasted about six minutes, but it didn't need to go any longer. Even with the match being thrown out as both women brawled on the outside beyond the ten count, a new feud was born, and fans wanted to see more of them facing off. All of their matches together ended up being good, but it all began with this one.
