Date: August 15th There is a "Kid VS Hart" match from 1994 that gets a lot of publicity (more on that later), but this particular match was special, as well. Owen Hart could "go" in the ring like just about no other in his time, and when he had the rare opportunity to be the larger man in a match, he was able to adapt and change things up to a necessary level without avoiding what works. Owen went all-in trying to make Kid look good in this one. There was chain wrestling and reversals, but Owen was letting Kid have just as much offense in those sequences. Kid was more than ready for this boost, and he performed well, giving him another great match during the year. He was really coming into his own, and was seen as much more than "enhancement talent" by this point. After nearly 15 minutes, the match didn't exactly have the best of endings, with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart getting involved. These days, when a match doesn't end cleanly, many fans complain that it "ruined" the match, or that it doesn't help the wrestlers involved. In this case, though, it made Owen look good, as he got to be a great heel, and it made Kid look like he belonged in the ring with upper level names.
