One of Snuka's partners at Survivor Series '96 was the former World Wrestling Federation Champion, Yokozuna, in what would prove to be the big man's final WWE pay-per-view appearance. Yoko had held almost every title in the Federation on more than one occasion and had put together a Hall Of Fame calibre career by the time Survivor Series '96 came to an end.

On his way to creating such a memorable career was his first reign as a WWF Tag Team Champion, alongside Owen hart.

At WrestleMania XI, Owen Hart had promised to reveal a mystery partner that would help him in capturing his first championship title in the World Wrestling Federation. What his brother Bret had failed to do, Yokozuna succeeded when, together, the duo of Yoko & Owen defeated the Smoking Gunns for the tag team titles.

Yoko & Owen would become the flag bearers for the promotion's tag team division over the next year, capturing the titles on two occasions, but it all began at WrestleMania XI and the promise of a mystery partner.
