Date: January 9th William Shatner has a tendency to make surreal moments out of his television appearances, and during his time as a guest on Jerry Lawler's King's Court talk segment, that was certainly the case. He broke the fourth wall, looking into the camera during Lawler's introduction of him and his accomplishments. He got into an argument with Lawler about how important being on The King's Court truly was. He busted out a flawless Monkey Flip, sending Lawler flying into the ropes. The appearance was to promote the TekWar television series that would be airing after Raw, but nobody remembers that show. They remember his time on Raw, in a mini-feud with Lawler, who was used to dealing with eccentric TV personalities after feuding with Andy Kaufman years earlier. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xx7ddd_wwe-monday-night-raw-raw-20th-anniversary-william-shatner-on-king-s-court_sport If this were WCW, we would have gotten a Shatner VS Lawler match on pay-per-view, or at the very least, Shatner & Hart VS Lawler & Jeff Jarrett, who was aligned with him at the time, so maybe we should be thankful.
