10 Most Memorable WWE Raw Moments From 1998

10. Dumpster Diving

Date: February 2nd It's not exactly a secret that Mick Foley and Terry Funk are willing to go the extra mile to entertain wrestling fans. They'll put their bodies through a special type of hell for a good match or a good segment. On this February night, that was as evident as ever. It started innocently enough, as they were wrestling in a Hardcore Match against each other in their Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie personas. They were brawling on the stage, and a large dumpster came into play. Funk would fall into the dumpster, allowing for Foley to basically climb the TitanTron and deliver a flying elbow drop onto Funk into the dumpster. It was a great visual, and the fans went crazy. Suddenly, the New Age Outlaws were on the scene, tying the dumpster lid shut, with both Foley and Funk still inside. They pushed the dumpster to the edge of the stage, and then sent it flying to the floor below as Jim Ross nearly had a conniption on commentary. The show came to a halt in one of those "this is real" injury angles that wrestling companies like to have from time to time. Heels and faces alike were all out there, trying to help Foley and Funk. Sunny was in tears as she looked on. Flash Funk looked like he was trying to fight both Billy Gunn and Road Dogg legit. Vince McMahon was out there, yelling at the Outlaws, who looked like they were in the midst of being grounded. Tensions boiled over, and a group of wrestlers would attack the Outlaws for what they did, while Foley and Funk were being tended to by medical personnel. It was a great attempt at blurring the lines by all involved.
