10 Most Memorable WWE Raw Moments From 1998

6. Bang 3:16

Date: October 19th The night before, at In Your House: Judgment Day, Vince McMahon debuted his infamous "YOU'RE FIIIIIRED" catchphrase, using it on Steve Austin, who refused to cooperate with Vince's plan for the WWF Title match in the show's main event. How would Austin respond? By taking Vince hostage and thinly disguising threats on his life, of course. It was the Attitude Era, after all. After stalking Vince for a large portion of the show (Vince was in a wheelchair after having his ankle "broken" at the hands of The Undertaker and Kane three weeks earlier), he finally captures his "prey". Austin, in full-fledged hunting fatigues, has a gun, a knife and a crossbow with him, terrifying Vince to no end. After a few segments of torturing Vince with threats of violence, Austin wheels him to the ring and vaguely makes several references to killing Vince right in the middle of the ring, all while Mr. McMahon begs and pleads for his life. He puts the gun to the side of Vince's head as the crowd cheers the thought of witnessing a murder, but when Austin pulls the trigger, the infamous "Bang 3:16" flag pops out. It is then revealed that Vince literally peed himself, as he has a huge urine stain running down his pant legs. Never say that he isn't a trooper, folks. A Stunner closes the night out, and it's another one of those weird "only in wrestling" things where many people complain about having to suspend their disbelief too much. Still makes for a memorable moment, though.
