Date: September 28th The last entry discussed Vince McMahon having his ankle broken in kayfabe. This entry discusses the moment that led to the ankle breaking. In the main event of In Your House: Breakdown, Kane and The Undertaker pinned Steve Austin simultaneously. The show went off the air with everyone wondering who was the new WWF Champion. On Raw, Vince decided to hold a ceremony where he would name the new champion and present them with a new title belt, as Austin's version was the infamous "Smoking Skull" belt that McMahon hated so much. During the ceremony, Austin would literally crash the ring on a zamboni that he found backstage. He then climbs atop the zamboni, uses it for a ramp, and dives off to attack Vince, laying him out with a clothesline and several strikes before being pulled away by the police as the crowd is as molten hot as can be. After being arrested, Vince began to berate Kane and Taker for not protecting him. He changes his mind about naming a new champion and tells them they will have a match for the title instead. He berates them some more, only for Taker to respond back that he needs to choose his next actions wisely. Vince sees both men with their backs turned to him, so he flips them the bird, only to be caught in the act, and the Brothers Of Destruction beat the hell out of him, including smashing his leg between the ring steps. It was a night of chaos, all around.
