9. Mia Yim
We guess we shouldn’t be surprised by this given how Mia Yim
was treated on the main roster, but you have to just bang your head against the
wall a few times for this one.
Yim was a standout in NXT and a reliable performer who seemed just one step off from cashing in and achieving some serious success. When it was learned she was main roster-bound, fans figured the HBIC would make an impact and really catch on.
Instead, Mia was put in a mask as part of RETRIBUTION. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she then never wrestled. When she finally got in the ring, her mask flew off mid-match, and she promptly was pinned by Dana Brooke. Yim would wrestle one more match on Raw as Reckoning before the faction fell apart. Despite rumors of returning to her original gimmick, Yim hadn’t wrestled since December 2020 before she was cut.
This easily is one of those “How could they not find anything for her to do?” entries.
