Story: Training at Larry Sharpe's Monster Factory, Paul Wight was looking to break into the wrestling business. Whilst there lifting weights, Wight brought some friends with him, who were largely standing around admiring their massive friend. Another wrestler, who was going through the paces with trainees, took umbrage with the fact there were non-wrestling folks there when he was trying to work. That man was Balls Mahoney, who promptly asked Wight's pals to leave. When they refused, and Wight came over to see what the fuss was about, Mahoney got in his face, and the giant decided the best course of action was to walk away from the situation before it got physical. Why People Believe It: Balls Mahoney himself has repeatedly told this story as fact, hilariously remarking that he's glad Wight had such a long temper during the situation, because he had no doubt that the big man would have beaten him up had they started fighting! Should We Believe It: Yes, this one is believable. Paul Wight did train at the Monster Factory, and Balls Mahoney was enlisted there to help train fledgling wrestlers. Given the fact that Balls is also someone who has told Vince McMahon to 'f*ck off', it seems likely he would have stood up to his gigantic peer.
