The Legend: That Eddie Guerrero legitimately hated Kevin Nash, stemming from their time together in WCW. Why People Believe It: It's no secret that the WCW midcard clan, comprising the likes of Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Eddie, felt as though they weren't being given the chance to progress in the company in the late 90s thanks to the monopoly of the nWo. The nWo was the hottest thing in wrestling for a period but, by 1998, it was starting to wear a bit thin. Eddie, Benoit and Jericho all felt that they could produce in a main event setting but never got the chance. A lot of the WCW midcarders left the company in protest. Eddie seemed to have a particular problem with Nash, who coined the term 'vanilla midget' to describe Eddie and his midcard brethren. Writing in his autobiography Cheating Death Stealing Life, Eddie said of Nash:
Considering how little talent he had in the ring, Nash is one of the most arrogant people Ive ever had the displeasure to know. Hed walk right past you and not acknowledge your presence unless he thought there was something he could get out of you. I dont say this lightly, but I genuinely feel that Nash is evil.
Eddie went on about Nash, saying that he purposefully held him and his friends down and questioning his use of creative control. It was one of the only times Eddie said anything bad about somebody in his book. Is It True: Yes, Eddie didn't like Nash at all, and with good reason. Proving that a leopard's spots never really change, Nash has made a number of insulting comments about Eddie (and Benoit) in recent years, going as far as to say that the day that Eddie and Benoit won the WWE Championships was the day that the wrestling business died.
