10 Most Notorious Scott Steiner Urban Legends

3. His Physique Is The Result Of Anabolic Steroid Use

WWE

The Legend: That Scott Steiner's dramatic muscle gain in the late-'90s was the result of anabolic steroid use/abuse.

Why People Believe It: Just look at Steiner. The guy is a self-professed freak. There are very few guys in wrestling who became as big and cut as Steiner did around 1998. Steiner had always been a big guy, but his skin got tighter and more vascular as the millennium approached. He looked ready to burst. This noticeable muscle gain instantly prompted allegations of steroid use. Fans began chanting 'steroids' at Steiner during WCW shows, which did not make Scott happy. His snapping at fans, coupled with angry backstage confrontations and fights led some to believe that they were instances of 'roid rage'. When Steiner joined the WWE in 2002, the company asked him to take a drug test. Steiner agreed, on the condition that Triple H pick him up in the limo and take the test with him. They dropped the testing thing after that. You've got to love Scott Steiner.

Is It True: Steiner has never failed a drug test and has always denied taking the performance enhancers. Does his physique look 'natural'? Not in the slightest. But until there is proof to the contrary, we'll have to take his word that he's a 'genetic freak'.
