10 Most Notorious Sting Urban Legends

Did Marilyn Manson inspire his look rather than The Crow?

This year's WrestleMania has several big matches with the in-ring WWE debut of the legendary Sting as one of the major selling points of the show. The former NWA/WCW and TNA icon made his WWE debut last November at Survivor Series and has shown up a few more times since then. His first match in a WWE ring will be against Triple H at WrestleMania. Last night on Raw, Sting appeared during the main event of the show as Randy Orton was dealing with Seth Rollins and his allies in The Authority. It looked like Orton was all alone in the ring to try to fend them off, but then the lights went out, Sting was standing beside Orton in the ring with his baseball bat in his hand and they cleaned house. Sting hit the Stinger Splash followed by the Scorpion Death Drop. He looked like a very energized WWE "rookie" that also happened to be in his mid-50s. To some WWE fans, Sting is some new guy. To others, he is one of the best wrestlers of the last 25 years and somebody that a lot of us idolized as kids. Thanks to that history, there are a lot of interesting stories about the Stinger that are worth exploring. Here's a look at ten of the most notorious urban legends about The Icon or "The Vigilante" as WWE likes to call him, the legendary Sting.
