10 Most Obscure Title Wins In WWE History

5. Crash Holly - European Title

Incredibly, Crash Holly is a 22-time WWE Hardcore Champion. I say incredibly, not necessarily because that’s an amazing feat of skill, but more for the impressiveness of being able to fit so many title changes into just a couple of years.

Still, this entry actually has nothing to do with the Hardcore Championship because, believe it or not, Holly actually had time to win another title in his WWE career when he managed to usurp William Regal as the European Champion in December of 2000.

Aside from the fact that Holly was predominantly involved in the Hardcore title scene, what makes this one all the more obscure is that it took place at the UK-exclusive Rebellion pay-per-view, from Sheffield, England, of all places.

It was obviously just a chance to make Regal look silly in his native land, though, as the former champ would reclaim his crown just two days later on Raw, continuing his reign as if it had never been interrupted in the first place.
