10 Most Obscure Title Wins In WWE History
4. Christian - Light-Heavyweight Title
As strange as it may seem in this day and age, Christian did
in fact debut in the World Wrestling Federation in the company’s old
Light-Heavyweight division.
He enjoyed a fair amount of success in the weight-class, becoming only the second champion in the rebooted history of the Light-Heavyweight title, when he beat Taka Michinoku at the In Your House: D-Generation X event.
Sandwiched in-between Taka’s 315-day reign and Gillberg’s all-conquering 453-day tenure with the belt, it’s easy to forget about Christian’s win. Plus, he’s since achieved far more notable success in the WWE’s Heavyweight division - which almost makes you forget that he was even deemed a Light-Heavyweight in the first place. That and the fact that this all went down almost 18 long years ago.
As your fun fact of the day, this makes Christian one of only two men to have captured both the WWE Light-Heavyweight and World Heavyweight Championships. No prize in particular (other than pride) for anyone who can guess the other one and comment with the answer below.
