10 Most One-Sided Brutal Beatdowns In UFC History

5. Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs. Edson Barboza - UFC 219

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has based his career on delivering dominant performances inside the Octagon. The undefeated Dagestani has beaten the snot out of the vast majority of his opponents, but there's one victory that stands out the most and that's against famed Brazilian striker, Edson Barboza.

Barboza was known for knocking opponents out in extremely violent fashion, especially when they were within kicking range. However, Nurmagomedov neutralized any of those potential threats during their fight by using intense forward pressure and a crushing top position game. Barboza had been beaten before in his career, but nothing like this.

Not only did Nurmagomedov repeatedly take Barboza down during their 15 minute match, it looked like he took the Brazilian's will to even compete away from him. As Nurmagomedov used his fists to pound away at Barboza's face with ground and pound, he had a glassy look on his face that screamed acceptance of his predicament.

It was as if he knew that the only way to get out of this situation was to either be finished or wait until the buzzer rang. It was a moment of complete and utter resignation to his fate, one that he's never really been able to come back from.
