10 Most Over Wrestlers On WWE SmackDown Right Now

4. Edge

Was all that "GIVE IT TO ME! GIVE IT TO ME!" screaming by Edge all designed to set up Seth Rollins assaulting him during his own entrance, or did WWE simply pounce on what'll surely go down as one of the most memorable reactions in company history when SmackDown first returned to the road?

Edge's pop ahead of a six-man tag alongside The Mysterios against Roman Reigns and The Usos was the sort of thing we'd all been dreaming out for the better part of a year and a half. Edge included - the 'Rated-R Superstar's only match in front of an audience was at the Royal Rumble before the pandemic took hold, and the outpouring of love felt mutual after a hard run of empty arena events.

The noise hasn't quietened in the weeks that have followed, which bodes well for the SummerSlam clash of ages with Seth Rollins. Though, it's been with Edge in particular that WWE's sound-sweetening has been most evident. A bad habit to keep once it becomes noticeable, the Las Vegas stadium setting for the 'Biggest Party Of The Summer' hopefully won't require deployment of these dark arts.
