Again, WWE rarely earn plaudits for having the balls to make career-enhancing decisions when they could easily phone it in. At WrestleMania 31, there was nothing stopping them from either having Brock Lesnar retain against Roman Reigns or booking regular target to the boo-boys Reigns as the new champ.

They didn't, they picked Seth Rollins as the man to outsmart everyone and end the evening all smiles on the ramp.

Rollins was WWE's MVP in 2015. He was the one carrying the mantle on house shows as The Authority's golden child, worked his socks off against anyone and everyone, and showed no signs of stopping before an unfortunate injury robbed him of more time as champion in November. Pre-torn ACL and MCL, Seth was on fire.

Matches against Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Sting, Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Kane showed how adaptable Rollins was as a performer. In 220 days as titleholder, he became the super-worker that title had missed since Daniel Bryan.
