10 Most Popular Videos In AEW’s History

7. The Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal (4.4 Million Views)

The video highlights parts of the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal from the first few months of Dynamite's run, showing just how entertaining AEW could be. The multi-competitor elimination match turned out to be a lot of fun, putting the spotlight on talent who were underused or hasn’t had a chunk of TV time yet to get themselves over.

There were 12 competitors in total: Joey Janela, Hangman Page, Pentagon, Orange Cassidy, Billy Gunn, Sonny Kiss, Chuck Taylor, Kip Sabian, Jimmy Havoc, Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt and MJF. Billy Gunn at the ripe age of 56 is shockingly good throughout. At 6'4", he looked and wrestles as the battle royal giant (a role normally reserved for the humongous Big Show or Kane or The Great Khali in WWE), given the small stature of AEW wrestlers. Gunn also sells a brutal slingshot flipping lariat from Hangman Page at one point.

The video in particular is memorable for calling attention to Orange Cassidy’s motivationally lazy gimmick, pushing MJF as a nefarious heel by tossing out Cassidy and eventually Jungle Boy to set-up MJF vs. Hangman Page the following week.
