10 Most Protected WWE Finishing Moves Ever
3. Razor's Edge - Razor Ramon
The crucifix Powerbomb is an all-timer, and in Razor Ramon/Scott Hall's hands, it signalled the immediate end of the match.
Like most Powerbomb variants, the execution of this move relies solely on whether or not Ramon could be ars*d with you. If he liked you, he'd drop to his knees, almost gently, and plant you on your back without so much brute force that it wouldn't squish a slug underneath.
But if he hated you, you knew about it. There was more panache behind the move and Razor lunged forward, thus scaling back the level of padding, for lack of a better term, even further. The landing, for a select few, wasn't on their backs either, but rather their necks; indeed, the Razor's Edge was a feared and formidable finisher for someone who, quite shockingly, never escaped the midcard.
'The Bad Guy' made sure to limit his use of the Razor's Edge as much as he limited his winning of championships to secondary and doubles titles. He refrained from executing the move if the finish was to see him with his shoulders down; so much so, in his later years, it became apparent that he was set to lose a match fairly quickly.
Few managed to wriggle their way out of it, but none were lucky enough to kick out of it.
