10 Most Protected WWE Wrestlers Ever

3. Hulk Hogan

Whilst Piper's name rarely comes up when discussing the most protected performers in company history, Hulk Hogan may very well be the first to be mentioned. From the beginning of the WrestleMania era all the way until his departure for WCW, it seemed as though Hogan simply didn't lose, and when he did it came in shady circumstances.

These claims aren't too far from the truth. Hogan was pinned four times in this run, and only the defeat to The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI came in a clean fashion, and even this saw Hogan kicked out at 3.00000001. Huk also suffered pin-fall defeats to Yokozuna thanks to photographer flash, The Undertaker thanks to Ric Flair-assisted chair Tombstone, and to Andre the Giant in shady enough circumstances to run a tournament at WrestleMania IV.

Hogan was insanely protected, but two men were protected a little more than the Hulkster.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
