10 Most Radical Body Transformations In Wrestling

4. Ric Flair

Few wrestlers in the history of the sport have as memorable a physical appearance as Ric Flair. From his bleached-blond hair to his crooked nose and teeth, Flair is instantly recognizable. The same can be said of his body, which - during an era where size was an a premium - was built to go the distance in 60-minute matches.

That wasn't always the case, though. When Flair first broke into the business in 1972, the 23-year-old was a barrel-chested 300-pounder who looked more like Dick the Bruiser and The Crusher, superstars in the Minneapolis area when Flair got his start.

It was the infamous 1975 plane crash which broke Flair's back that was responsible for the change in his physique. After recovering, Flair needed to carry less weight on his body, and he dropped more than 50 pounds. He also completely changed his ring style, going from being a power-based brawler to the technical wrestler who became a huge star.

The blonde hair soon followed.
