10 Most Random Full-Time WWE Returns

4. Zeb Colter

Dutch Mantell has largely done well for himself in the wrestling world. After entering semi-retirement in the ring, he did some great work in TNA by heading up their Knockouts Division. He was then let go when Jeff Jarret was ousted from power, and was then picked up by WWE, 17 years after he’d last appeared in the company.

In the mid '90s, Mantell was Uncle Zebekiah, the manager of the Blu Bloods and Bradshaw. In 2013, he was Zeb Colter, and he joined forces with Jack Swagger. He played an extreme right-wing, nationalist xenophobe who believed in the strength of America and wanted to get rid of those who dared to “sneak” across the borders.

Incredibly, the act was really over, and brought Swagger to a new career height. Later pairings with Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio didn’t work out so well, but after so much time apart with WWE, this was one random return that was pretty darn great.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
