10 Most Ridiculous Things Wrestling Expected You To Believe

3. Kane’s Sudden Backstory Change

You'd need a ton of patience to sit down and figure out The Undertaker and Kane's duel backstories. The latter was introduced as a chargrilled brother of the former - his vocal cords has been singed in a fire set by 'Taker, and Kane was horrifically scarred by those same flames.

Now, he was back for vengeance.

WWE d*cked around with this over the next decade. Paul Bearer was revealed as his father, he suddenly regained the ability to speak, and then (oh, you know what's coming) Katie Vick's tale was told. That, dear readers, remains one of the worst creative nuggets wrestling has ever hatched.

Triple H outed Kane as a drunk who got behind the wheel despite partying just a little too hard. His actions murdered Katie Vick and... hang on. If Kane lived a tortured life of painful surgeries and only cared about plotting revenge on The Undertaker, then how did he find time to socialise like some strung out frat boy?

If you're going to present an OTT story, at least keep it consistent.
