10 Most Ridiculous Wrestling Matches Ever

9. Dustin Rhodes Vs. The Blacktop Bully - King Of The Road Match (Uncensored 1995)

The artist currently known as Goldust, Dustin Rhodes has had a long and successful career in professional wrestling with a few snags along the way. One of those snags was in 1995 when he challenged the Blacktop Bully (aka Barry Darsow, Demolition Smash, Repo Man, etc.) to a "King of the Road" match. No one had ever heard of a King of the Road match before this event and it hasn't been seen since. The object of the match was to fight your opponent in the back of a hay truck and incapacitate him so you could climb the hay bales and blow a horn. Yes, this was an actual thing that happened on TV. They wanted us to pay for it and everything. As for the match, it was terrible. It featured the two guys walking around the back of the truck quite a bit and the editing was so bizarre that it looked like an inside joke that no one got. It changed from night to day numerous times and Dustin's shirt disappeared and then reappeared on his torso. The high spot of the match was the truck taking a wide turn. Seriously, the announcers made a big deal about it. The only significant thing to happen here was Dustin Rhodes blading, which was against the rules of WCW at the time. The stunt got him fired and he quickly signed with the WWF to debut the Goldust character, which he still continues to this day.
