10 Most Ridiculous WWE Booking Decisions Of 'The New Era'
4. Saddling Shayna Baszler
Finally! It seems as though we are getting the best version of Shayna Baszler back, after a year of her being stuck in a meaningless tag team division teaming with Nia Jax. This is not a means to bash Jax; rather, to show just how far Shayna's star has fallen since being positioned as the next breakout star of NXT.
It was only last year, at Elimination Chamber, where Baszler single-handedly annihilated five other women to book her spot at WrestleMania 36, last eliminating top-tier talent and multiple-time world champion Asuka. Hopes were high that Baszler would march into 'Mania and rip the Raw Women's Championship away from Becky Lynch - whose reign was getting somewhat stale at that point - only to have The Queen of Spades lose limply to The Man.
After recent events, it seems as though Baszler is back on track. For a woman who has fought hard to step out from Ronda Rousey's shadow, it would be a shame to see Shayna back in petty feuds with undercard workers within another 12 months.
