While we're on the topic of Lynch, the most recent entry on this list concerns her return at this year's SummerSlam. Now, it may well be that Becky wanted to come back as a heel, and it may well be that this storyline pays off big time for both her and Bianca Belair.
Given WWE's track record, and since we've already covered a number of up-and-coming stars who were snuffed out before they could hit their stride, it's reasonable to be worried for The EST of WWE right now. The pop for Lynch was expectedly huge, and it created a massive moment at a big four pay-per-view, but what are the ramifications going to be when we look back on it?
Everyone was disappointed when Sasha Banks was just announced as not fit to compete. Everyone was then further disappointed when Carmella was announced as Banks' replacement. Not only does that suck for Carmella, but it also exposed the nonsense that is WWE's contender-ranking issues. Add on top of that Belair's belt being ripped out of her arms in seconds after she had carried it through an especially difficult time for the company, and the whole situation is more than a little off.
