Hello, ladies! Val Venis is a wrestler who pretty much epitomises what the Attitude Era was. Vignettes for Venis, whose gimmick was that he was a porn star, aired in early 1998, the most notable of which involved real-life porn actress Jenna Jameson. WWE did not skimp on the details when it came to smut. The vignettes ended with the line Val Venis is coming, which was apt. Venis quickly got involved in an angle with Kaientai which culminated in their manager Yamaguchi-San trying to castrate him after he discovered that Venis had been sleeping with his wife. Nearly having his member removed from his body didn't stop Venis' adulterous ways as he then went after Dustin 'Goldust' Runnels' wife Terri. After she revealed that she was pregnant, Val dumped Terri and moved onto his next conquest, Ken Shamrock's sister Ryan. And so it went on, with Val encountering 'women troubles' with Chyna, Debra and the positively freakish Nicole Bass. WWE tried to elevate val in late 1999 and early 2000, programming him with main eventers, cutting his hair and giving him a run as Intercontinental Champion. But Val was always a double-entendre spewing porn star in the eyes of the fans and they could never really accept him at the next level.
