10 Most Shocking Appearances Of Blood In The PG Era

4. Matt Hardy (Great Balls Of Fire 2017)

Enzo Amore
WWE Network

Having initially dominated them in multiple tag and singles matches for months following their WrestleMania return, The Hardy Boyz emerged from the feud with Sheamus and Cesaro missing a teeth and blood cells alike following hard-hitting wars with the European hard-hitters.

Seeing red in the best match of their lengthy series, Matt Hardy's eye socket spewed claret following a fist drop on to Sheamus just weeks after the 'Celtic Warrior' had knocked a tooth clean out of his brother's mouth in a prior battle.

Sustaining the knock in the final minute of their 30 minute Iron Man battle, the wound added urgency and panic to the conclusion of the contest, which centred around Cesaro stealing a late fall over Jeff Hardy then attempting to avoid the 'Charismatic Enigma' by running down the clock and running from battle.

Hardy admirably fought on as cameras avoided showing the worst of the damage despite blood spilling out on to the canvas, with directors predictably more interested in covering the shocked expression of audience members than focussing in on Hardy's scar of war.
