10 Most Shocking Kick Outs In WWE History

8. CM Punk - WrestleMania 29

While the booking of CM Punk vs The Undertaker may, on paper, seem a little one-sided, the build of the match prior to WrestleMania 29 was particularly well done - so much so that Punk himself looked like a believable contender to 'The Streak' and a viable threat to 'The Deadman'.

Fresh off the real-life death of 'Taker's long time manager, Paul Bearer, WWE made the questionable decision to implement this into their WrestleMania storyline. With Paul Heyman at his side, Punk had a psychological edge on the his larger opponent and, for one of the first times in WrestleMania history, The Undertaker seemed rattled by his smaller foe.

Incorporating the iconic urn into his act and even having Paul Heyman dress up as the late mortician, Punk - in storyline - had seemingly gotten inside 'Taker's head. 'The Phenom' was fazed by the disrespectful acts and Punk had accomplished the rare feat of making 'Taker's cold blood boil over.

Regardless of taste and tact, the build made for an uncertain outcome at 'The Show of Shows'. Nevertheless, when 'Taker hit Punk with the Tombstone Piledriver, there were very few of the 80,000+ people in the MetLife Stadium that foresaw CM Punk kicking out.
