Back at WrestleMania XXVIII, Daniel Bryan was beaten by one Brogue Kick from Sheamus and technically-minded wrestling fans around the globe had sleepless nights as a result. Everyone knew who was to blame, and it wasn't AJ Lee. Still, Bryan's egocentric character did it anyway.

Come the 6 April 2012 SmackDown, Bry told AJ to hit the bricks. They were finished as an item, and it was all because she'd dared to kiss her man before he had those lips wiped off his face by a freshly-minted World Champion Irishman. When Lee turned on the waterworks and begged Daniel to reconsider, fans sympathised with her.

Bryan was having none of it. He turned his back on AJ after demanding she get the hell out of his ring, and didn't look back. Only kidding: he did. A few months later at Raw 1000, Lee would get the chance at revenge by standing Bryan up at the altar.
