Though never able to have the blockbuster match WWE effectively promised during their 1993 feud, Shawn Michaels and Mr Perfect at least provided drama in the form of a captivating brawl directly outside of Raw's first home.

Uncharacteristic and gritty for the time, Perfect and Michaels' impromptu war gripped fans that had gathered around 'HBK' for a pre-show interview with Sean Mooney. When 'The Perfect One' struck, gasps of shock and awe from close-up crowd lent an air of genuine tension to what could have been a hokey presentation.

Heating up a programme that already wasn't short on hostilities after a backstage assault by 'The Heartbreak Kid' at WrestleMania, the angle afforded their eventual war over the Intercontinental Title the attention it richly deserved.

In a famed and comical coda, Michaels and Perfect used the scrap to rib the company's longest-standing employee. Shawn's audacious red cowboy boots shatter the windshield of a parked car in the scuffle's most famous visual. The automobile belonged to legendary ring announcer Howard Finkel, who allegedly only came to realise the damage when he saw the vignette air.
