10 Most Shocking WWE Raw Returns Ever

3. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho left WWE in the summer of 2005, and although it was on friendly terms, there was also a sense of dissatisfaction with never having been properly pushed as a main event star. He decided enough was enough, and left to pursue his passion for music and acting. Two years passed, and then cryptic binary code vignettes started playing on Raw. The blue screen digital codes were effective in generating excitement and speculation, but nobody really knew who or what was behind them. And then on the November 19 2007 Raw, the day after Survivor Series, the code revealed itself as "Save Us Y2J" and out Jericho came to confront Randy Orton. Some fans may have guessed, but the majority were stunned, and it has been a theme of Jericho's returns ever since - he loves to make an unexpected entrance.
