10 Most Shocking WWE Superstar Releases Of 2014

6. Jinder Mahal

Our fourth casualty of June 12th, Jinder Mahal was the second member of 3MB to find himself unemployed that Thursday. Now as surprising as his release was the fact that of the members of 3MB, Heath Slater was the only one they hung onto. Back to Jinder, he was 6€™5, good looking, and maybe of most importance... was Indian. Not saying that he was the best in ring talent that they had on the roster, but he filled a role and quite frankly was their only Indian representation on the roster, which now with the official departure of Khali, leaves them with exactly zero Indian stars on the roster. Again, he wasn€™t the greatest in ring performer, but he could have been utilized in much more interesting ways. They debuted him as the step brother of Khali, which is fine, but not terribly interesting or eye grabbing. It would have been far more captivating if upon his debut he were billed as a once rising star from Bollywood who has decided to try his hand in the wrestling ring. Make his entrance a somewhat elaborate production, with backup dancers and lively Bollywood music. It would have at least garnered some attention and interest. Fat guys aren€™t the only ones who can have fun dancing gimmicks. His look, his ethnicity and his youth (only 28) are all reasons why Jinder Mahal€™s release was a fairly surprising one. That and the fact that they left the catchphrase €œDon€™t Hinder Jinder€ on the table. For shame.
