From his iconic debut in 1990 to his stunning return 15 years later, The Undertaker has played a starring role in many of Survivor Series' most memorable moments, and his 1991 clash with Hulk Hogan ranks near the top.

Hulkamania was coming off the rails. The WWE Champion's all-conquering babyface act was on the verge of running its course, and many fans had already grown weary of his antics, but he was still the face of the company. An attempt at replacing him with the Ultimate Warrior didn't stick, and Hogan was reinstalled as champion less than a year later at WrestleMania VII.

'Taker was surging at the time, but he'd only been in the company for a year. The thought of him overcoming Hogan was unthinkable, particularly as winning would make him the youngest WWE Champion in history, but he pulled it off.

It took interferences from Paul Bearer and Ric Flair, but it was a huge moment for both men. For 'The Deadman,' it was the first truly iconic victory of his career, and a springboard to one of the most successful careers in the company's history, though his reign lasted just six days. Hogan's popularity continued to slide, meanwhile, and was out of the promotion 21 months later.
