10 Most Shocking WWE Survivor Series Moments

9. Kane Buries The Undertaker Alive (2003)

When Kane appeared at the 2003 Survivor Series to attack his brother The Undertaker and bury him alive, it was a shocking moment, especially given the brothers hadn€™t properly crossed paths in years. The American Bad Ass had been battling Brock Lesnar, Big Show and Vince McMahon on SmackDown while Kane became a tag team veteran on RAW teaming with Rob Van Dam.

By the spring of 2003, both brothers were becoming stale and it felt like they€™d explored all they could within their character roles. When Kane unmasked, became a demonic monster and tombstoning Linda McMahon on the stage, he was on fire (no pun intended). So how could they write off Taker and bring him back as The Dead Man?

Simple, renew the brotherly rivalry and have Kane take out his brother.

Watching the show 12 years ago, I remember thinking Taker would beat Vince McMahon and move on, but when The Big Red Machine appeared and after a vicious beatdown and buried his sibling alive, my jaw was wide open and the inner-fanboy in me realised we were on the road to WrestleMania with Kane and The Dead Man set to clash once again.
