10 Most Shocking WWE TitanTron Moments

1. Countdown To The Millennium

As noted elsewhere on this list, the TitanTron opened up a wealth of creative opportunities for WWE in how to present, promote or introduce new characters to a live and television audience simultaneously.

Never was a big screen revelation quite as momentous as when Chris Jericho finally debuted on Monday Night Raw.

After weeks of a 'Countdown to the Millennium' clock appearing indiscriminately across WWE programming, the time wound down during the middle of an in-ring promo with The Rock on an August edition of the flagship show.

Rumours had spread for weeks on what the countdown was leading to, with many suggesting Jericho after his acrimonious WCW exit had led to assumptions that he was WWE-bound.

After an elaborate lights and pyro show, unfamiliar music hit and the camera aimed squarely on the TitanTron to reveal 'JERICHO' as the payoff.

The response in the arena was spine-tingling. A longstanding WCW favourite during their hottest period, the arrival of 'Y2J' was monumental.

The visceral roar from the audience as his name flashed across the screen made him an immediate phenomenon to those watching at home, most likely wishing to be there in person to experience such a white hot moment.
