10 Most Shocking WWE Transformations Since 2020

7. Cody Rhodes

WALTER GUNTHER 2020 2024
AEW/WWE

OK, so admittedly Cody Rhodes didn't sport the brown/black hairdo for too long. He was actually trying to mimic Clark Kent in 'The Return Of Superman', but it fell flat with AEW's audience and the bleach blonde was back before anyone knew it. Still, things were rather different for Cody in 2020.

He was in All Elite for a start.

Nobody could've known that Rhodes would bolt from a promotion he helped start by 2022 and rejoin the WWE machine. To that point, few could've guessed that Cody would be the man to end Roman Reigns' peerless title run after back to back WrestleMania main events. That's quite the turnaround from wrestling Angelico and Warhorse on Dynamite.

Forget the obvious hair colour thing for a second. Something else is true: Rhodes is much happier riding high on top of WWE than he ever looked in AEW at any point post-2020. He was already hearing scattered boos from fans in 2021, but only hears booming cheers today.
