10 Most Soul-Destroying WWE Losses Of All Time

7. Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton (SummerSlam 2013)

Although he's become a bigger star attraction than the likes of Christian ever was, Daniel Bryan still doesn't seem to be a hot ticket in the eyes of those and such as those in power at WWE HQ. Sure, the bearded battler is a big name, but he's not the man in the mind of the boss, something which has been woven into the fabric of Bryan's character since he made his debut in 2010. At Summerslam 2013, all that was washed away temporarily. Shockingly beating John Cena 100% clean, Bryan had the fans in raptures, who could scarcely believe that the impossible had just happened. It had been reasoned that, with Triple H as the Special Guest Referee, the technical grappler didn't stand a chance, but here he was, WWE Champion. Of course, it wouldn't last. Cashing in his Money In The Bank privilege, Randy Orton came out to the ring just in time to pin Bryan following a Triple H Pedigree on the man. The audience were outraged, to say the least, and it all seemed so typical. Thankfully, things would be put right at WrestleMania XXX, in one of the longest-running stories in recent memory.
