Consequences Creed seemed like a great addition to the X-Division, but TNA never knew what to do with him. He was placed in the Lethal Consequences tag team with Jay Lethal, but they were mainly used to put others over and never received much time to establish their characters together.

Creed was released from the company when he was 24-years-old, but luckily WWE signed him and placed him in FCW, which later became NXT. He was called up to the main roster, which seemed a bit surprising as there were other, more popular wrestlers in developmental, but apparently the company had big plans for him...as R-Truth’s tag team partner.

It felt like exhibit 1,001 of WWE putting two guys together only because of their race. There seemed to be absolutely no other ideas thought up for him, and the two characters didn’t click. Lucky for Woods he got out, and even luckier for him was when he was placed in the embarrassingly awful New Day act, which was so out-right rejected by the crowd they were forced to turn face. Currently, he’s receiving a prominent role on TV, and is in a popular, merchandise selling stable.

He remains one of the casualties of the Hogan era, where big names were brought in for a ton of money while younger, more talented guys who were probably making next to nothing, were canned. It’s pretty obvious how that played out for everyone.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
