1. AJ Styles

Seven years ago who would have thought AJ Styles would even be on this list, let alone in the top spot? After 12 years as the face of TNA, The Phenomenal One had established himself as one of the most recognizable names in the industry without ever stepping foot in the WWE. Winning every championship the NWA and TNA had to offer, it looked unlikely that the real life Allen Jones would ever work for Vince McMahon and Co.

That all changed in 2016, as Styles, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and Shinsuke Nakamura all made the jump from New Japan Pro Wrestling to WWE. While Nakamura and The Good Brothers have had moderate success on Raw and SmackDown, Styles has truly become one of the top stars in WWE. Styles has even become the most recent Grand Slam Champion, including holding onto the WWE Championship for over a year.

On top of the in-ring accolades, Styles has firmly established himself as one of the most dependable wrestlers for Vince and now Triple H. Having phenomenal, pun intended, matches with Roman Reigns, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and countless others have cemented AJ Styles as a pillar of the WWE for however long he decides to continue his legendary wrestling career. To think this was nothing but a fever dream just a few years ago.
