Robert Roode is truly one of TNA's biggest success stories. Debuting in the company as a member of Team Canada in 2004, not many could have predicted the success Roode had for Dixie Carter and Co. Transitioning to a JBL type rich boy heel, this laid the foundation Beer Money, one of TNA's most popular acts ever, alongside James Storm. This also led to one of TNA's greatest rivalry, when Roode turned on his Cowboy partner to win the TNA World Championship.

Once arriving in NXT, Roode followed the blueprint of all the top stars arriving on the black and gold brand at the time. The Glorious One rose the ranks, knocked off Shinsuke Nakamura to with the NXT Championship, before falling to Drew McIntyre, who himself was following the same blueprint. The main roster was kind at first to Roode who racked up a few championship wins along the way.

In recent years, the Ontario native has supplanted himself in the mid-card, putting over the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Bron Breakker and several tag teams alongside partner Dolph Ziggler. Not everyone can be a WWE Champion and one of TNA’s greatest stars has done well for himself under Vince McMahon’s employ.
