10 Most Successful TNA To WWE Transitions

3. Mickie James

IMPACT Wrestling

Fans might not be aware that even though Impact Wrestling has been the home for Mickie James whenever she found herself out of WWE, it was TNA where fans were first introduced to the current Knockouts Champion.

Debuting in 2002, Alexis Laree joined Raven in The Gathering as the former ECW Original pursued the NWA Heavyweight Championship. Although she wrestled in a pair of Clockwork Orange House of Fun matches, most of her screen time was alongside Raven and Father James Mitchell, who in fact threw a fireball at Laree shortly before leaving for the greener pastures of WWE.

Once arriving on the WWE main roster, it was full speed ahead for Mickie James. She was infamously paired with Trish Stratus as her friend turned stalker persona led to James winning the Women's Championship at WrestleMania 22 in just her tenth televised match. That was just be the beginning for Hardcore Country, who went on to retire Lita at Survivor Series that year, also winning title a second. In total, James won the Women's Championship 6-times throughout her two stints in WWE, cementing her legacy as one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all time and a first ballot Hall of Famer.
