Distinguished members of the famous Anoa'i wrestling family, brothers Afa and Sika won a total of 19 tag team championships in their career, although only 12 of those qualify for this list. Known as the Wild Samoans, and managed by Captain Lou Albano, the men from the Isle of Samoa won a grand total of nine different NWA Tag Team Championships across North America, winning gold in Georgia Championship Wrestling among other promotions.

They also won a total of three WWF Tag Team Championships in their time with the World Wrestling Federation. They beat Tito Santana and Ivan Putski for the first and Tony Garea and Rene Poulet for the second, before returning to the company for one final run in 1983, where they defeated Chief Jay and Jules Strongbow for the belts.

The Wild Samoans were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. They paved the way for the members of the Anoa'i family, and only the Briscos won more NWA Tag Championships on this list.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
