Everything could have been so very different for Booker T. and Stevie Ray. When they arrived in WCW, they were originally supposed to be portrayed as a couple of slaves, wrestlers won by Col. Robert Parker in a card game. They were even to come out in shackles, but this was wisely abandoned when everyone realised how completely f*cking insane the idea was.

They stuck to Harlem Heat instead, and between 1993 and 1999 they were true mainstays of the World Championship Wrestling tag team division. They had 10(!) WCW Tag Team Championship reigns, more than any other team by some distance. In fact, no other individual made it to double figures in reigns, with Kevin Nash next on the list with a total of nine.

It was in WCW that all of their tag success came however, so their 10 WCW Tag Team Championship reigns only gain them 30 points for this little list. Not bad going for the brothers from Houston, Texas.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
